Her work examines belonging, cultural perception, and the emotional dynamics of space, drawing inspirations from natural landscapes, Eastern philosophy and symbolic systems.
She employs an organic visual language and structured narrative strategies to translate internal experience into accessible, public-facing forms. Her practice emphasizes the integration of conceptual framing, contextual research, and execution, resulting in work that is both introspective and rigorously constructed.
She currently lives and works between Chengdu and Providence.

Description
“Life, Identity, Womanhood, and Homecoming”
Speak of Tides is a public art and multimedia work. It centers on a 3.5-meter-long fiberglass installation and incorporates body movement and musical performance. The piece aims to rewrite traditional mythological narratives about women under patriarchy.
What is home? Is the seashell a shackle that molds and disciplines women’s identities, or a harbor that protects them? The artists seek to reconstruct the narrative of the “woman in the seashell” from Eastern mythology. They envision women as active agents who create new perspectives and discourses that belong to them. The power over the seashell should lie with the women themselves, not with the puppets residing within it.

Description
Rebirth is a site-specific installation designed to explore the symbiotic relationship between women and nature. The installation incorporates handmade crafts created by Miao women from Fenghuang, using natural materials.
The installation is placed in a triangular white-box space, attempting to bring a closed, systematized context into the "wilderness," thereby expanding the potential of the art creation field and presenting the mutual empowerment and collision between nature and art.

Exhibition Statement
In this exhibition, “Made in __” goes beyond an indication for the place of production. It fosters into a pathway, where commerce leaves its tracks upon, craft is carried along, and records the meeting ground of culture and material. These labels remind of materials‘ global journey. They cross ports into artists’ studios and stimulate iterative experimentation, leading to potential cultural dialogues that transcends material’s locality.An early example of this statement could be seen in the birth of blue-and-white porcelain. With heavily referencing Islamic geometric patterns, these pieces made with Persian cobalt that arrived in China along the Silk Road in the Tang dynasty, entered glaze labs, and four centuries later found its place in Jingdezhen with high-temperature firing, becoming the form recognized today. The same trajectory appears in all art forms: silk from China reimagines European apparel; Middle Eastern tapestries widely inform world pattern-design; Water-based woodcut, upon arrival in Europe, Japanese ukiyo-e inspired Impressionism painters explore new ways to capture colors and lights.
Materials never carry linear messages. The interpretation is directed by personal background. Where materials are found, how they have been used, and what they are adapting to is the focus of this exhibition. “Made in __” brings together works of foregrounding material as message carriers that visualize either personal or collective narratives. What matters lies beyond the label? We invite you to look past it. Hear in these explorations, the materials used and their origins in interaction with makers from different backgrounds.
